Met my expectations, August 26, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Avenir DLX Unicycle (24-Inch Wheel) (Sports) I've had this unicycle for almost 2 months now.
I got it as my first unicycle, and it was great to learn on. Assembly was easy.
While learning, the only problem I had was if I had a significant fall and the seat hit the ground, it would get knocked out of alignment, even if the seatpost clamp was very tight. This could be solved by having a double bolt clamp, but it was more of an annoyance than a real issue.
Later on, one of the cranks became squeaky and loose. I solved this by taking it off (you'd need a crank extractor tool), greasing the axle, and putting the crank back on VERY tight. It hasn't come loose yet, but if it does I might use loctite.
The saddle is okay as long as you don't do any really long rides, if you really want comfort you'll need a better saddle.
The tire tread doesn't last very long, but 24" tires are pretty cheap.

The tire would not hold air out of the box, so i had to fix the valve stem. As soon as i tightened the seat down enough that the seat would not slip down when sit upon, the bolt stripped out. Could have been a major problem had i not had access to a metal saw. Afterwards i had to buy a replacement bolt at the hardware store. One pedal crank continually comes loose and i have yet to find a solution. I would not recommend this product.
